We really enjoyed this park. The sites were large and well situated. Sites 1-30 were a little larger but with less shade than the second loop. Nice hiking and biking trails. The staff were friendly and were able to help us with things to see and do in the area. We will put this on our list for our annual Florida getaway.

This was a new park for us, and we are always a little fearful not knowing what to expect. What a pleasant surprise. The sites were large and well shaded. The campground has two loops, Sharpe's Ferry and Fort King. We stayed in Fort King, but there were very few sites in either loop that we would not have been able to fit into. There are washers and dryers available on-site and shopping opportunities in nearby Ocala. We would return.

We stayed in the Atlantic Beach CG which is our favorite at Ft. Clinch. While this is an oceanside campground you are separated from the ocean by high dunes so you can't actually see it, but the sound of the surf is wonderful. Our only negative about this campground concerns the bathrooms. For all intent and purposes, they are outside. There is a roof but, especially in the showers, you are pretty much exposed to the elements. We don't use either so this didn't really affect our stay. Washers and dryers are available in the bath area. Amelia River Campground is much larger and more shaded but we have not stayed there so am unable to comment.

As said before, very nice owners. Our only complaint about this campground was the huge rut on our site that made leveling difficult as it couldn't be avoided. This is a popular stop-over for travelers west and therefore very busy. We would stay here again.

This park is run by super friendly people. The laundry facilities were the best we have seen. Our only objection was the closeness of the sites, but this was no different from most private campgrounds. There was a grocery store and several gas stations conveniently located nearby. We would return.

This is our favorite state park and we have camped here many times with both our pop-up and the travel trailer. The lake level was down on this visit due to lack of rain. They have also made improvements to some of their sites making big rig access easier. There are several hiking trails in the park with easy access to Clarks Hill Lake.

Really beautiful park. Just stayed here one night when passing through the area. Not much shade but the sites were paved and level. Would definitely come back to this park and spend some time.

This park accepts Golden Age Passports. Our only objection to the park were the mosquitoes. This was not the park's fault but it made an impact on our visit. Take lots of bug spray and a screen room. Campsites were spacious, paved and shady. Pretty drive to get there along the bayou. Nice staff and a great place to explore Cajun country.

Price after purchasing a Texas Park Pass. Come with groceries as park is pretty isolated and there is no cell phone service. Large, level, gravel sites. We would recommend this park.

This is a COE campground so it accepts Golden Age Passports. There are two campgrounds on the lake operated by COE. The west side was closed for the season when we were there. There were large level sites with nice views of the lake. The bathrooms were 1950 cinder block and nasty looking. Still we would go back to this park since we don't use the bathrooms anyway.

Campground is all gravel, few trees, not attractive, but clean and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities clean. Not much space between sites. Appeared to be a lot of seasonal users. Beware, this area can be very windy so protect your awning.

Price included a senior discount. There are 6 Campgrounds within the park with 110 RV sites. There are only 10 sites with sewer and 50 amp hook-ups but no waterfront views. No reservations accepted. Really nice park. We would return.

The nightly rate was based on purchasing a Texas Park pass. A really charming CG with a warm water spring that is very busy, we were told, on the weekends. The spring was enclosed by the CCC and looks like a pool but it is a real spring and you will swim with the fishes. Although there is no shade, each site has a covered picnic area. Birding is excellent. Not much to do in the area but a great place to rest and recoup after a busy travel schedule.

We stayed in the Sagebrush Campground; there were gravel pads, large in size, semi - shaded, with covered picnic area next to each site. Flies were a problem while we were there. There is a 10% grade driving into the park. Lots of hiking and wildlife. the signature trail is the Lighthouse trail and should not be missed. We loved this campground and would gladly return.

Price is based on the purchase of a Texas Park Pass. This park has: 28 (Full H/U); 32 (E/W); 32 (Tent) sites. Lots of hiking trails, good birding and wildlife. There was no cell phone service, TV or radio in the park. Beautiful park. Would return.

This park, though in Big Bend, is run by a private company. Although it is big rig accessible, the larger rigs will have a tough time backing in if the CG is full due to the lack of a turn radius. There is a laundromat on site. The bathrooms close at 8:00 PM for some inexplicable reason. We would return as it has a view of the sunset that cannot be beat. Gas is available on-site and at two other areas in the park.

There is an extra Charge for Sewer and 50 amp service. Paved pads, fair size, shaded, both back-in and pull through. Limited snack items available. Limited lake views. Seasonal discounts available. We would recommend this campground.

Price with Golden Age Passport. Narrow paved roads. Laundry needed cleaning as did the bathrooms. Gravel pads, large and shaded. We would return. Convenient to the Grand Ole Opry.

This was a really beautiful park and but our major concern were the ants. They were everywhere and immediately entered our trailer. It took us a month to completely eradicate them. I'm not sure that the campground can be held responsible for the ants but it would certainly keep me from returning. There was a laundry, gravel pads, paved interior roads, and large shaded sites.

Beautiful park and well-kept. No swimming pool but there is a swimming beach. Our only problem was the sites were not level and that was a shame as they were paved and large. A major concern was the entrance road which was 7 miles of narrow road. I have no idea what would have happened had we met another TT entering the park. Would return here anytime if the road had been wider. We camped here in a 30' TT.

This CG is owned jointly by VA and KY and both states should be ashamed. The park doesn't take reservations although many were "rented" when we arrived and were not available even though no one was occupying them. On Memorial Day the staff seemed to cram as many campers into sites as possible. The single site across from us had three campers on it and this was true of many of the sites. There was a class A parked outside the restroom with an extension cord running into the bathroom the entire weekend. There were no locks on the doors in the womens toilet stalls. We were told that there was no full hook-up site available when we called but, when we arrived, the ranger had one that she was "holding back" but we could have it. The laundry room was locked and we had to drive to the visitor center to have someone open it even though it was two hours past opening hours. The staff were hard to find but friendly when you did find someone. The hiking within the park was excellent with well-marked trails.

We arrived during a downpour and some of the sites were flooded. There was heavy flooding around some of the sewer connections at those sites that had them. Some sites were shaded and some were out in the open which would most likely be very hot in the summer months. There is direct beach access from the campground with the beach being about 300 yards away. Although the campground was almost full during our stay, the beach itself was deserted. There were three dump stations located at exit but one was closed for some reason. Roads and pads are gravel and were level for the most part. Big rigs can easily maneuver around the park. We will go back here again. We were in a 30' travel trailer.

We stayed in the west rim camping area. The sites were large, private, and well maintained. Although the bathrooms were old, they were immaculate. There was a laundry room located at each comfort station. Camp hosts and park rangers were helpful and friendly. The east rim sites were smaller with less privacy and suitable more for tents and pop-ups. Chatanooga and Chicamauga were both within easy driving distance. We will definetely be returning to this park.
